 FCOP Primary Work

The main focus of FCOP is to spread the Kingdom of God. This involves not only leading people to faith in Christ, which happens daily in Cambodia, but also performing essential works such as caring for the poor, orphans, and widows, teaching the word of Christ, water baptism, prayer, ministering healing to the sick, and deliverance to the captives. Weddings and funerals are also important, but these works are equally essential. The purpose of the Son of God’s manifestation was to destroy the devil’s works (1 John 3:8b). At FCOP, it is standard practice for every church service to include …

Streamline

We are continuing to care for over 1,300 orphans and staff and are currently working to integrate and consolidate orphan care services in 34 homes nationwide. This decision was made after operating on a $10,000 monthly deficit. Our savings were depleted. Having to streamline services and find the most efficient way to stay on a mission meant making very hard decisions. The pivot to consolidate down to 70 homes was made with heavy hearts and bathed in prayer.  After a detailed assessment and review the headquarters staff reached out to the FCOPI board for guidance and then met with the regional leadership to discuss how consolidation would move forward. As …

Good food leads to good health

First and foremost we want to thank our partners in ministry. We can’t do this without you! The price of rice in the Cambodian market is at an all-time high and your unwavering support continues to give hope to the hopeless. A special thanks to Feed My Starving Children, Reach Now International, Children Hunger Funds, and Convoy of Hope for providing shipments of Manna Packs. When we receive the containers filled with Manna Packs we know prayers have been answered. All the essential nutrients needed for these children to function and grow are right there in the Manna Pack.  These nutrient-rich meals …

Medical Clinic

Showing our faith by what we do has become our motto. Nowhere is this better illustrated than by taking medical care to places where they have none. It’s easy to go where they have readily available medical care and just pass out reading glasses. But, to provide a full clinic with treatment, prayer, and referrals is not so easy. FCOP took a medical team from Norway and the US to the northern Ratanakiri province. The team was led by our very own Dr. Lina and FCOP board member Erik Jensen. 620 people were treated and referrals were given to regional …

FCOP 25th Annual Conference

“The Fruitfulness” was the theme of our recent FCOP pastor and leadership conference held at the Chom Chao training center in Phnom Penh. The conference was attended by nearly three hundred leaders from all corners of Cambodia, and it was graced by esteemed guest speakers: Pastor David Norton, Mike, and his wife Nikki Baessler. During the conference, there was a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit, echoing the transformative words of John 15:5. Many attendees witnessed miracles, both physical and spiritual, illustrating the wonders of God’s grace. Hearts were opened, and the conference became a sacred space for rejuvenation and …

FCOP Annual Conference

We are excited to share the uplifting news from last month’s FCOP pastor and leadership conference held at the Chom Chao training center in Phnom Penh. The event was graced by esteemed guest speakers: Pastor David Norton, Pastor Jim Carpenter, and Pastor Peter (from Arkansas). It was a momentous occasion, with nearly four hundred leaders from all corners of Cambodia in attendance. The conference became a sacred space for a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit, echoing the transformative words of Matthew 3:11b. Miracles unfolded, touching the lives of many attendees. Hearts were opened, and both physical and spiritual healings …

Church is Striving

He heart of our community are our pastors who have a fervent commitment to spreading the Gospel, they bring the light of salvation to those in need.  Our church is alive and continually doing outreach.   During their outreach, lives are not just touched; they are transformed. People find solace in salvation, experience healing, and witness the manifestation of God’s power. The dedication of our pastors extends beyond conventional boundaries, with some delivering individuals from the grip of evil spirits, guiding them to accept the Lord as their Savior. These powerful testimonies underscore the impactful work our pastors are undertaking. Through …

Bringing The Word

Imagine not having access to the Bible in your native language. Thankfully, FCOP pastors are a part of bringing the Bible to thousands of people that have never seen the Bible in their own dialect. We could not be more proud of some of our FCOP pastors working in partnership with Wycliffe Bible translators to translate the Bible into the various tribal dialects throughout northern Cambodia. We believe in greater spiritual breakthroughs with the written Word in their own dialect, as we know the Bible is alive and active.

Cambodian Leadership in America

Our trip to America was to attend Foursquare’s Centennial Connection in Anaheim, CA. Mak Sou (Pastor Sou), Pow Naret, Pastor Som Art, Kong Rolina, Run Thany, Net Khemara, Heang Makara learned many things during our time.  We learned that the US Foursquare Church really respects their time schedule, are well organized, have good infrastructure, their technology is amazing, and we are speechless. We’ve experienced weather that is cold compared to what we are used to.  We’ve been reconnected with our church friends and welcome them back to Cambodia to partner with us.  All the speakers during the conference have been …

“Remember, no man is a failure who has friends.”

It’s the last line written in the flap of a book by the angel Clarence in the classic movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life”. Like George Bailey, I was discouraged. Government mandates insisting that we supply new uniforms to all our homes by the end of the year at a projected cost of $52,500 USD or face shutdown had me in despair. Mak Sou had a prophetic dream and told me to write to my old friends. It was a miracle! We were able to get the uniforms bought and though they may not be delivered before New Year, they are …

Christmas Around Cambodia

Christmas celebrations actually began in late November and will continue throughout January. It’s the major holiday for the Cambodian Church and since December 25th is not an official recognized holiday, the season gets stretched, especially since ‘Orthodox Christmas’ isn’t celebrated until January 7th. FCOP church leaders like to attend their neighboring congregations services, therefore, they match their celebration dates so they don’t overlap. In this case, pictures are better than words!

It Was A Colorful Christmas!

Eight thousand gallons of paint delivered in mid November have provided for fresh colors on many of our church homes with enough to refurbish all of them over the next few months! Bob and Christal Hollandsworth and our Training Center Staff have been the “Master Mixers’ with nearly 500-5 gallon pails sent to the provinces. The colors gray, pink, brown, green and yellow are not the most exciting but, gray seems to be a hit. Trimmed with a bit of another contrasting color, these churches look quite good.
