FCOP

It is a tough concept to sell, and, “We ain’t what we wanna be!” However, churches supporting orphans and widows is more than just a form of good work. In Cambodia it is easy to identify with a corrupted and selfish system that is in the process of recovery. Every year we see improvement economically, socially, and spiritually. God gave me a vision for the mission of FCOP in Cambodia in 1998. It is simply the individual conversion of economic, social and spiritual health. That has now become the logo of FCOP and the care of orphans and widows is central to that. Isaiah wrote something 2800 years ago that could have come out of a Cambodian Newspaper in 1998: “Your leaders are rebels, the companions of thieves. All of them love bribes and demand payoffs, but they refuse to defend the cause of orphans or fight for the rights of widows.” (Is 1:23 NLT). This is the focal point of divine justice, and God is the defender of orphans and widows. We see a day when the universal church wakes up to this fact and orphans no longer beg for survival.
