27 FCOP church orphan homes have been flooded this month due to this seasons rain.

Every year in Cambodia it seems like there’s enough rain to hire Noah to build another Ark.  That’s a bit of an exaggeration, but the fact of the matter is that 27 of our church orphan homes are having to use boats and other resourceful techniques to deal with the floods this year.  The news says that dams have failed in China and Thailand, as well as one in the province of Battambang here in Cambodia.

Cambodians are incredibly resourceful to make life work in the midst of poverty, but when everything you own gets flooded, the rice you grow to eat dies, and every community has the same story within a 60 kilometer radius, you need to look for someone to help.  Thus, the crisis we’re facing right now.  Still the same amount of mouths to feed and homes to maintain, but a spike in the needs of our homes this month.

Anyone who is willing and able to help, we ask for your prayer and support.  Please contact us at info@fcopi.org and/or go to www.fcopi.org/give, or online giving page to make an immediate donation.
