I am an over-the-top optimist! The problem with being an optimist is that you are frequently disappointed, witch sounds pessimistic, but it is a fact. The advantage in being a pessimist is that you are occasionally, pleasantly surprised. So, why not just be pessimistic, and get it right most of the time? Simple! You have to get out of bed every morning and face a new day. How do you want to do it? Every day is a new opportunity to solve the problems and disappointments of the past and move toward a brighter future. I’m not sure that optimists face fewer problems, maybe just the opposite, because we are always reaching for the stars. You will notice, the pictures above, make me look concerned, because I am! But the key is; we keep on reaching, so, eventually you grab a few. Cambodia is coming to Christ, and the church will be able to care for the orphan and the widow. I think one of the most optimistic statements I have ever seen, is the 13 year old daughter of our murdered Apostle El Sim, standing up in front of 500 people singing a celebration of new hope and beginning; playing the part of Eve, in an operetta portraying Adam naming the the animals. She performed this just days after her mother’s funeral. (See Video)
