FCOP’s pastoral training this month was on “Spiritual Warfare.” It is amazing to Mak Sou, me, and the church leaders, how unaware some of our key pastors were of basic concepts like, “The Authority of the Believer,” and the difference between “Authority” and “Power.” We taught through the concept that Jesus had all authority while he was in the carpentry shop, but it was not mixed with power until he was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Kind of like the King of a small country may have the authority to declare war on a large country, but he possesses no power to win a victory. It was a real eye opener for them when they saw that even though they had theological knowledge, they lacked power. They were “Carpentry shop pastors.” That got changed!
