Miracles and Healings:

May was a month in which we saw God do something miraculous as He always does.

Lita, a 9 year old orphan living at FCOP’s Keo Sema Church Refuge Center in Mondulkiri province, was bitten three times on the heel and top of her foot by a Malayan Pit Viper. I could not be more proud of the home parents (Pastor Van and his wife) because upon hearing the young girl’s screams for help, they crushed the head of the snake with a rock then immediately called the other kids of the home to gather around her and began to pray both in the spirit and in the natural.

When they called Mak Sou and I, FCOP National Church staff immediately activated hundreds of prayer warriors all around the nation. Lita ended up having to travel to three different hospitals over a several hour period before arriving at a hospital in Kratie province that had the anti-venom in stock. When she arrived, the doctors couldn’t believe that she was still alive. They couldn’t understand why the poison hadn’t already circulated throughout her bloodstream. It turns out, the doctors never did give her any anti-venom; she didn’t need it!

The next morning, Mak Sou called and spoke with Lita who was already walking around the hospital, smiling, and laughing. She was so thankful for the prayers of her fellow FCOP brothers and sisters, pastors, as well as people around the world that had heard her story and were praying for her. She was back home and attending school 2 days later. This is the wonder of the healing power of prayers. “They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will be healed.” Mark 16:18
