With Christ We believed We Could

As we begin to close out our 21st year in Cambodia, I can't help but reflect a little. I think of the hundreds of visitors we have hosted over the years and after they've seen the training center, they hear about the 106 church/homes, our rice farm, the thousands of churches and home groups, and tens of thousands of orphans raised, they usually ask some variation of the same question… "How did you (Sou and I) accomplish all this?" The answer is too simple to be satisfying. My answer? "Because we knew we could!" The mystified visitors will respond, "How could you know that? You have no money! You have no great credentials!" My answer? "Because we believed we could!" The confused and still perplexed visitors, clarify, "What gave you such faith?" My answer? "Because we knew we could!" Circular argument? Of course! But it is not because of our intelligence, training, experience, righteousness, skills, or even luck. It is simply, because God called us to do it.
