A Strange Way to be Healed

About 20 years ago, FCOP General Supervisor, Som Art, was 18 years old and paralyzed when he came to our church, was prayed for and healed. Now at 38 years old he finds himself watching over thousands of churches and home-groups. According to the doctors he had developed ulcers the last couple years. Nothing he did seemed to help. We prayed earnestly for a cure.

Good news but a close call! General Supervisor, Som Art is almost fully recovered from a successful emergency surgery. He was on an active temporary duty as a Military Reserve officer in the far NE corner of Cambodia when he was diagnosed with a ruptured appendix. The kids at the church started to pray for him as soon as they received word. After enduring a nine-hour ambulance ride, Som Art received surgery only to leave the doctors scratching their heads. His appendix was inside his intestine. The doctors told him they’d never seen that before, but removed it. Interestingly, it turns out that this was his problem all along. He spent about a week in the hospital but is doing well. Thanks for the prayers!
