Devilish Lie
It's a devilish lie! I'm talking about a very well done, but totally deceptive video. Click Here to watch it first, then continue to read. Do you really believe that your donations to orphans create them? Orphans are created by their parents dying! Unfortunately, the concept of a country with high corruption and no functional child welfare system, seems unbelievable to some people in the developed world. Where do orphaned, abandoned, deformed, and abused kids go in a place like Cambodia?(Click on Dany's Story on the right to read a real life example) Can you just pass out money to any family and have them responsibly care for kids? How well does the "Foster Care" system in a developed country like the USA really work? Are we (the developed world) kidding ourselves when we think a country that struggles with corruption and taking advantage of “the system” will do well with the foster care concept; handing out money to individual families assuming they’re not going to take advantage? There’s so much to express here but, regardless of your opinion on the video, "God is the Father to the fatherless," (Psalm 68:5) Our New Testament mandate is, that: "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble..." (James 1:27A). In a Karma based Buddhist culture, orphaned, abused, deformed, or abandoned children are seen as possessing “bad karma,” or are "cursed." This mindset does not just go away when you receive Christ. It is acculturated, jut like the value in the USA, that if you don’t work you are "lazy." People ask, "Why don’t you close the Church/Homes and do foster care or adoption?"World Vision tried that for more than 10 years, and it was not controllable. Families were given money each month to take a child, and it became a profit center, there was no way to monitor abuse; It became unmanageable! That’s with dozens of facilities and hundreds of staff doing the monitoring.Closely monitored, Christian Church/Home families, with widows taken in as chief care givers, and the pastor serving as the surrogate father, in one location as a family group, where no one punches a time clock, has worked well for 16 years in Cambodia! It is called FCOP International! Better yet, why don’t you join a team and come take a look? I have only known a few true prophets in my life, but Bill Norton has been visiting us for 14 years, and he does hear from God. God has used him to save this ministry more than once. This is what he wrote two days ago to a church leader in the UK regarding our Church Homes (it was totally unsolicited):“Ted’s (FCOP’s) church homes are not state run orphanages. Ted’s church homes are not institutions. Tedʻs church homes are not residential care. The reason God has blessed them is that they are family based church homes. The pastor and his wife are the mother and father and widows and others are the caretakers. There is no abuse or an environment where the children will turn out dysfunctional.”
