Innovate!
When there is no way, find one. The Cambodian Rice Production presents us with a costly problem. The second crop of the year has to be planted in mud. We have found various ways to do it, from a big Cat D5B with a rototiller to the paddlewheel drive wheels on our big Versatile tractors. However, they are all high fuel consumption, and that means money. Our mechanic genius, Paul Mok, is at it again! He married a Kubota Combine chassis with a rototiller to solve one of our lingering problems; how to plant a new rice crop over muddy stubble. It almost walks on water and the fuel consumption is less than half that of pushing the heavy tractors through mud.
