Lafayette Booshway team to the Rescue

On November 17th, after spending one night in my own bed in Phnom Penh, I was on the road back to the rice farm. I spent the seven-hour drive mostly praying in the Holy Spirit (tongues). Upon arriving at Balang, I began working with Paul Mok (our farm manager) attempting to rebuild the super structure to carry our rice conveying equipment. We had it up once and ready when a tornado (first one I've ever experienced in Cambodia) came through and took it down, turning it into a twisted mess. We believe that to be an attack from a demonic entity that has been observed by virtually every worker (more than 20) at the farm. George Butron, happened to visit and sent a Google Earth photo of the location of the ancient temple/tomb site to a man he knows with a unique gift of 'discerning of spirits'. The ancient site is completely covered by vegetation. Within seconds, the reply came back, "This is the sight of ancient human sacrifice". Naturally we have been fighting this spiritual battle, and within a week of hard effort, we were ready to rebuild what the devil had destroyed. Then reinforcements arrived in the form of six men from the Lafayette Booshway Team, of Lafayette, Colorado. In the next 4 days, all of the towers and catwalk were rebuilt, most of the conveying equipment bins installed, all four bin roofs were constructed and side walls began to go up. This is the second Thanksgiving in my life that I have spent it building grain bins. The first time was 48 years ago in Wisconsin.

It wasn’t only the men of Booshway working… the ladies spent the week at Chom Chao church home creating a beautiful mosaic in the home’s cafeteria.  They created the design, and even went to various stores to pick out the tiles and paints used- so much love went into this project.  Thank you ladies for investing in the lives of our kids.
