Physical Versus Spiritual
Sorting out the demonic from the physical can be difficult and there is always crossover. Historically, September is by far the wettest month of the year in Cambodia. The first 12 days were dry and on the seventh of September the chief meteorologist for Accuweather released a very pessimistic (physical) forecast of heat and drought for the region. We lost about 75 acres to drought for the second time (about 10% of the crop). Paul Mok, our Farm manager, was being tormented with spirits manifesting at night and keeping him awake. He even had some of the workers sleep next to him, and the spirits scared them so much they refused to stay. Paul Mok's blood pressure rose to 230/155. I prayed for him over the phone and sent our General Supervisor, with several key pastors that move powerfully in deliverance, to pray over Paul and then march around the farm and break the curse. We also brought him some medications (physical). Hey, who knew I'm a doctor?? We got our miracle! A typhoon hit Eastern Thailand and dumped about six inches of rain on our rice. Since then we've been getting regular rains, the rice has been fertilized once and sprayed for weeds and fungal diseases. It looks good! Our ponds and irrigation canals are filled. We should get a crop. Paul Mok's blood pressure is down to 135/90, the demons are gone, and we all feel much better.
