Who will care for me?

chomrong_00010About 70% of FCOP kids are orphans as defined by UNICEF. The other 30% are kids that are abandoned, or share the fate of Chom Rong, a boy that had parents. Before you condemn us for taking him in, read his story as interviewed by Katie (one of our new volunteer staff from the States). She did not seek him out, but he just happened to be the first staff member she interviewed. He has been under our care since 2005, and started as a staff member about 4 years ago. We were looking for Christmas stories, but this one was considered too emotional. He would be rejected by the politically correct organizations that claim it is "evil" to take children from parents. FCOP has never recruited orphans or ever taken any children from parents. Chom Rong and his two siblings lost his mother to cancer when he was five years old. After this is a heartbreaking story of continuous emotional, physical and mental abuse by his father, his stepmother and his uncle’s wife. His story continues today in victory but please read further in the full interview at this link.[nggallery id=1279]
