Church Planting

We keep pressing the envelope: In multiple locations form the N.E. to the S.W. of Cambodia new churches were started in February. We formally dedicated new building in Pursat province, and began construction of a new Church/Home in Khampong Som. Pastors are finding a great hunger for the Gospel in areas that have not been evangelized. In the larger cities FCOP is seeing what is occurring in developed countries, churches compete and recycle current believers. Even at our largest church in Phnom Penh, rather than try to build a mega-church, we have started about six new Home/Churches from 15-25 people in recent months. The roads and infrastructure of Cambodia will not support the traffic flow and parking for large church groups. Even the security of the congregants homes when they travel to church is a significant factor. We are convinced that in our demographic, many small churches is better than one large one.
