Coming Back
Joshua Dunlap, got married and expected to leave Cambodia. The departure date was set for November 6th. Something happened. His wife Susie fell in love with Cambodia and so did Joshua. He changed his mind! Joshua and Susie are coming back. As he says, "As missionaries in Cambodia, it’s not our job to walk in with our big new ideas and our “this is how you should do it” attitudes. Our job is to walk in humility and support the local church and leaders the best way we can. Sometimes this can be challenging. However I’ve found that when we really do come in with a heart of service, that usually is so much more widely accepted than “my way or the highway”. This is Khemara. Many of you that have been to Cambodia know this man. He is my best friend now in Cambodia and has taught me so much about the power of forgiveness and the reality of Gods judgement in our lives. He was raised in the way of an orphan as he was displaced from his home at a young age. And now after being brought up in FCOP and through the hand of the Lord, he is now an anointed leader in Cambodia. It’s stories like this that give Susie and I the motivation to return to Cambodia and share the good news, care for the widows and the orphans and help disciple the next generation.”
