Easter Throughout Cambodia

For almost 2,000 years, the Christian Church has celebrated the death and resurrection of Jesus as the most important moment in history; and in fact it is! Without Jesus taking the penalty of our sins upon Himself and suffering the punishment of death in our place, each of us would be subject to eternal death and the works of the devil, but His death means so much more because He actually defeated death itself! Our Lord and Savior waged war on our behalf and now holds the keys to death and Hades (Revelation 1:18). During the Easter season, FCOP churches celebrate new life, a fresh start, and rebirth. Throughout the country to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection, churches put on dramatic pageants of the Passion story and performed traditional dances. Easter is one of our greatest times of evangelism. Due to COVID restrictions, we still were unable to hold large outdoor meetings, but that didn’t stop FCOP churches from gathering and celebrating our risen Lord. We even adapted our service from our main church in Phnom Penh to be streamed online. We’re thankful for technology that allows us to reach many throughout the country with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
