Fever Pitch!

On Wednesday evening, Feb 28th, 2018 I wrote, "Wow! The Eagle has landed!” PTL!! You guys did it! That is Wonderful!! “Thanks”, is much too small a word! This was sent as I received confirmation from Switzerland of a $25,000 grant that put us over the top on the $750,000US matching grant which had to be met by March 1st. Most of you realize that for the past 6 months FCOP has been feverishly trying to meet this goal. It didn't look very good for us. With one month to go, we were only about half way there. Man! Did we ever pray! I believe I personally spent 1&1/2 to 2 hours per day praying in the Spirit. We had various applications in with several large foundations, nothing worked! I heard the voice of God say, (I know, some of you think that is crazy) "I'm not doing this the way you suspect." He was right. Roughly 1/2 of the money we took in came from outside the US, and our top four donors all came from outside the US, with our largest donations coming from Hong Kong, Singapore and Switzerland. Surprisingly, the only foundation which helped us, was one I never thought make an application, and most of the funding came in the last week.

I really thank all the churches and private donors who helped us get here! Most donations were small compared to the total, but when a thousand people give; the total builds. We had donations from large and small churches, and hundreds of individuals and companies. In the end it was the churches of less than 700 (with one large church exception) members who really came through in a big way, with a several putting in nearly $40,000. I am very grateful!
