Eight year-old Sane came to live at Chom Chao Church Refuge Center a little over a year ago. He started out as a shy young boy with many fears and a great sense of insecurity. Through being given structure, parental figures that love and support him, he’s experienced the Father’s love and it has changed his life. It's been said, “Children are great imitators… so give them something great to imitate"~ anonymous. We take this motto to heart as we actively live out the Great Commission to make disciples as well as to care for orphans and widows.

Sane's survival and turnaround drives the devil nuts. One of the evil ploys of the devil is human-trafficking, and there's no better prey than someone Sane's age and poor background, an abandoned child beggar in a rural part of a developing country. FCOP has never seen human-trafficking rescue as our primary mission but the love and protection we give to the kids in our care 24-7-365 days a year has been extremely effective in giving these orphaned and abandoned children a great foundation of strength. Not only do they receive the rock solid truth of the Gospel to build effective lives but they learn how to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit through the support of the community of FCOP centers around the country. Although our efforts are not without hardship, we know each life we're able to touch makes it all worth it.

At FCOP, we live a lifestyle that is centered on prayer, loving God, and serving others. Sane lived this out this past week as he went to work helping to unload a container of rice we generously received from America. He carried 13.5kg (29.7 lb) boxes of rice without complaint and with a smile on his face. When he was asked why he was so happy, he said he was working for the sake of the orphans of FCOP. Sane has also learned to become a prayer warrior. When several of his FCOP brothers became ill with Dengue Fever, he kneeled down, closed his eyes, stretched out his hand, and began to pray for their healing. Sane has watched and learned as we pray for one another, our village, province, and nation. He’s been given a great example to imitate.
