Fulfilling the Great Commission

It is through the power of the Holy Spirit that we are seeing Cambodia come to know Christ. In Matthew 28, Jesus said to His followers, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” FCOP pastors are doing just that. Many are traveling into some of the most remote areas in the country to pray for the sick, share the Gospel, and get people baptized in water and with the Holy Spirit. As a significant portion of the country is still illiterate, the technology of Proclaimers (solar powered audio Bibles from our partners at Faith Comes By Hearing) has made the Gospel available to those that may not be able to read the Word of God. Pastor Savaret, a home pastor with 8 different tribal groups in her home church of 35 people, shared how access to hearing the Gospel has transformed her life, her ministry, and community. She, herself, was a part of the illiterate population of Cambodia. Now, by putting the sounds with the words she hears, she is learning to read. Pastor Savaret, humbly confesses that she personally has no knowledge to share with those around her, as she has never gone to school, but the anointing of God upon her is apparent as she brings her Proclaimer with her wherever she goes. She prays that God would send more pastors and teachers to help train her, but proves, by example, that the Holy Spirit is the best teacher. Each week, her congregation meets at a church members house where they worship in their native dialect, listen to the Scriptures using the Proclaimer, and have a time of prayer for their village, their province, and the nation. The Kingdom of God has come to Cambodia and it will not be stopped.
