Happy New Year x3

In Cambodia we have the luxury of enjoying three New Year Celebrations, all in increasing intensity, even though only two are legal holidays (the first and the last). January began and ended with New year celebrations. For what we 'Westerners' call New Year, (Gregorian New Year) we get one official holiday. January 1, 2020 was symbolized by our oldest and youngest church member. One is entering the “Roaring Twenties" for the second time as she was born in 1919, the other a new born entering “The Twenties" for the first time. At the end of January begins several days of Chinese New Year, which is not legally recognized, but virtually every shop in town is closed for at two or three days. In April we'll celebrate Cambodian New Year for a whole week. On January 1st, Sou and I were home and were surprised by some of our kids that we raised coming back to say, "Thank you!". They came with their children and I honestly did not recognize all of them, but it was fun to meet the new generation and see them becoming successful in life and still serving the Lord.
