National Focus

In Cambodia, FCOP has a “National Vision”.  We are committed to seeing Cambodia come to Christ. When we pick team members they must add value to the mission. When I was a kid, we still used horses for some jobs on the farms. A team pulling together can pull four times the weight a single horse can pull. But, the horses must pull together. We have found that a distracted member weakens the entire team. They may be wonderful doing something else and be great people, but if they don't increase the power of the team, they really need to go elsewhere. Those are tough decisions and it is never enjoyable, however, we have been successful. FCOP doesn’t bring big ministries here to preach; we'd rather have the Cambodians do that. How do you measure the effectiveness of that concept? By observing the fruit. We have said goodbye to some great people but if they don’t add value to the team, we wish them well in a place where their gifts and calling fit. By sticking to that concept we have become the largest church group in the country.
