Invest in what God cares about

Orphans & widows? Everyone should be helping to care for some! I know there are "fatherless" children all over the world but there are not too many ways for a church in a developed country to really target their help towards orphans and widows. FCOP can help you! The prophet Isaiah was ticked off at the kings of Judah; they were religious, they had prayers, celebrated the feasts, gave sacrifices and took offerings. So why is God upset? (By the way, this prefaced the entire book of Isaiah)  Isaiah 1:15-18 “When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood. Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow. “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.”  Two very specific kinds of people to help: orphans and widows.
