Prayer that Avails Much

FCOP was unaware of the magnitude of Hurricane Laura. When I (Pa Thom) went back home the night it struck New Orleans, LA, USA, it was about 4:00PM in Cambodia. I saw the news of Hurricane Laura being raised to a Category 4 storm. I hurried back to the office and asked the remaining staff to pray with me. We joined hands and took authority over that storm in the name of Jesus. We commanded it to “Break up, dissipate, and die!” And, that's what it did. As we've found out before, a faithful prayer has a lot of power. I'm sure we had a lot of help but it is a real faith builder. His mercies are new every morning.
