A pastor’s job description for FCOP is quite simple. Pastors need to take what God is saying and deliver it to the people so that they can understand. It sounds simple but it is not that easy. You must listen to the Spirit of God; and it is an office you must be called to by God, not a vocation you choose just to earn a living. Just like the children of Israel who crossed the Red Sea, only two of them made it to the Promised Land. Many of our first generation leaders who saw the miraculous power of God time and again have fallen for the money trap or tried to steal property and now it is time to clean house. House cleaning is never fun but it is necessary. The leaders who have stepped up are a courageous lot. We are pleased that once the compromised leaders are confronted with the error of their ways, many have sincerely repented, while others have to be replaced. Several teams went out in February to simply teach district pastors that the Church belongs to God and not the pastor, and it is to remain so until Jesus returns. Mostly with great results!
