When the Trinity got together to create the human race, God said, “Let Us make Man in Our image.” So, what is God’s image? The simplest distillation of that is from 1 John 4:8, “God is Love.” Thus, what is the number one thing He desires from us? “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart…soul and… mind.” And, what is our responsibility? “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” We got derailed in the garden by the serpent. The very next thing that happens is one of the first two offspring kills the other. Thus begins the human race.  God’s response? John 3:16! “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son…” I have a question: Was the recent murder of George Floyd in the USA simply an act of racism and the use of excessive police force or, was it something far more sinister; like, ginning up a race war?? Could it be that behind the scenes there are forces motivated by that same old, “snake in the grass?”
