FCOP International UPDATES

Upcoming Harvest

Our 50-hectare harvest is coming up in November, and we need your financial support and prayers to purchase fuel for our combines which will cost around $3000. Thank you for your generosity and love.

ORPHAN HIGHLIGHT: GIVING BACK

Meet Salin, a young man whose life was transformed by FCOP’s care for orphaned and at-risk children. In 2000, FCOP began providing refuge to children facing hunger, landmines, HIV, and labor trafficking. Salin, orphaned at five due to HIV, found a home with FCOP. Educated, supported, and trained in IT, Salin’s desire to give back led him to teach and support younger children. He purchased a computer, shared his gifts, and embraced the joy of giving, ensuring a brighter future for the next generation.

GOSPEL HIGHLIGHT: MAKESHIFT BAPTISMS

FCOP Pastors and Leaders tirelessly spread the gospel, sowing seeds of faith, healing, and deliverance across various locations. They bring the kingdom of God to hungry souls, baptizing them with joy and dedication. Sharing God’s words under trees, on boats, and along roadsides, FCOP emphasizes living faith through actions and strives to bless those in need.

Teams

FCOP joyfully welcomed 2 visiting teams from the USA and Switzerland. A team from the USA, including Spanish district supervisor, Pastor Martin Ruarte and his wife Angela Maria, Pastor Ricky Navarro the Mission Mobilizer, Pastor Joel Liew from Malaysia, Supervisor over Asia, Pastor Jerry Stott, and a Swiss team, led by Thomas Walti and his family. Both teams encouraged our staff and brought valuable feedback on ways to move forward on collaborative projects and how to maximize building efficiency. Activities ranged from visiting the training center to painting orphan dormitories. Precious times of prayer and fellowship were ongoing throughout the visits. …

Ministry Around Cambodia

Area Pastors and leaders have continued to labor diligently teaching the word of God, leading people to salvation, baptisms, and fostering fellowship and support among believers. The recent gatherings have been filled with joy, love, laughter, and a deep sense of unity.

Refreshing by the Holy Spirit

On July 2nd, 2023, a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit took place during the church service, resembling the Day of Pentecost. Despite Pastor Som Art being called away to campaign, Pastor Sou preached a message after seeking guidance from God. The sermon focused on the pouring out of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 and highlighted the importance of repentance, baptism, and salvation. The unity of believers in Acts 4 was emphasized, and the believers prayed for boldness in sharing the word of God. The manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s presence and power was reminiscent of Acts 10:38. In …

Seeing The Unseen

Shanon and Lida were able to minister to a young girl who had been shunned by her community due to a genetic skin condition. She had been mistreated, judged, and unseen by her community. This was a transformational moment for all to experience the love of Christ.

FCOP Rice Farm in Balang

A team of three men was sent to assist the Rice Farm team in refurbishing 4 combines for the upcoming rice harvest. They have made progress in refurbishing 2 of the combines, while the remaining are yet to be finished. Prayers are requested for a successful harvest to provide food for orphans, widows, and the poor.

The Unexpected

Last Month on May 11, 2023, Pastor Sou and the staff went to remeasure the land of our new church at Phnom Kulen in the Siem Reap Province. After they completed their business at Kulen Mountain, they return to the capital city of Siem Reap. Church members and their youth leaders unexpectedly came to Ps. Sou for prayer, healing, and deliverance. God met their needs and blessed them with answered prayers. The elder ladies cooked some traditional food to surprise Ps. Sou (Mak Thom) and the team.  The Lord continues to work for us every hour of every day. FCOP will keep …

Kids for Christ

It is essential to reach the next generation if we are to see Cambodia come to know Christ. Our children’s pastor, Lida, and our missionary, Shanon, know the importance of this and put together an outreach program to minister to children in a nearby community. One of the church members at the Chom Chao Church opened her home and invited children from her neighborhood to come. They played games, worshiped together, shared the Gospel message, and used Gospel bracelets to reinforce the message. One of the highlights was that the ministry team included young people from Chom Chao that have …
