Leadership Training

It seems I have danced between provision and disaster so many times I can’t count them. That’s the “Forrest Gump” part of my ministry. I just do what I can in faith, and God provides what He does through grace. The thing is, our books are done for last year, our net worth increased, with the addition of some rice land and equipment, and our short-term debt was eliminated. That’s good! But, after a very slow December, January hit and it was bleak. February looked worse, until God came through, via a faithful friend, and saved me again. I am …

Voice of the Apostles

I’ve been happily comparing myself to “Balaam’s donkey.” You know the one the Bible says, “The dumb ass spoke.” When I start receiving requests to validate the ministry of FCOP in order to be considered for recurring gifts, two things happened: 1) Sou and I received notice that we were being awarded Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degrees from Life Pacific College. 2) I am scheduled to speak at two sessions of the “Voice of the Apostles” meeting in Nashville, TN, USA from Aug 10–14, 2015 alongside such well-known speakers as Reinhard Bonnke, Randy Clark, and Bill Johnson.  (See Link) I didn’t know …

Rice Farm

At the rice farm we were able to add an additional 20 hectares thanks to the donation of a committed friend of the ministry. “Mango rains” have begun to fall and spring tillage has commenced. We received a container load of needed equipment, and are working hard to level, dike, ditch, and increase water storage capacity. We really need a bigger excavator. We found an old Hitachi for sale that is three times bigger than the one we have, but we don’t have the $30,000USD to buy it, yet.

Explosive Church Growth

Even more impressive, is the growth of the Church through the kids raised in our homes. (See “Operation World” 2010 Edition, this is data collected in 2004) That’s what really upsets UNICEF. Leading children to Christ is a great evil in their eyes, and since virtually zero percent of the kids come into our homes knowing anything about Jesus and 100% leave in a relationship with Him, they hate us, especially, because FCOP never forces or intimidates a child to believe anything. UNICEF claims to have shut down 70 of our church homes. They shut down none!

Young Lions

Our kids are changing the country with thousands of Cambodians coming to Christ each week. This event was last week, one location out of hundreds. At this single event, around 400 Cambodians came to Christ. Now, if you believe that is evil, then FCOP is evil.

Floating Cities

There’s a city of 4,000 families on the Great Lake of Cambodia, they live in a floating city, with streets of water, and stores, homes, clinics (the entire community) on rafts. Their cars are boats. They have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  They are not counted as Cambodian citizens because they are of Vietnamese ancestry. Nominally they are Buddhist, but in reality 60% animist, and 30% Ancestral worshipers, and 10% Buddhist. We heard about them and sent Some Ardt, our General Supervisor, and a few of our Yong Tigers to investigate.

Peoples Receive Christ and Burn “Sai Gatas”

On one afternoon, in several locations, around 500 adults received Christ. They burned 5 kg (That’s twelve pounds) of “sai gatas”. These are chords which are tied around the waist, once for life, and then the people purchase enchantments, inscribed by a shaman on brass or silver foil, which are rolled on to the chord to protect them form every type of malady which they can afford to have produced. These are never to be removed or: “All the curses, ailments, and disasters, the charms were written to protect you from, will come upon you!” When these people receive Christ, and …

Mak Sou Bible School Deliverance

Two of the men from the 4000 family city came back to Phnom Penh to study to become Pastors. They are ‘oral learners’ having never attended school. They will use the “Proclaimer Audible Bibles” for self study and teaching. We brought in about sixty of our key leaders to go through the basic “Refresher Course”. Mak Sou was the main instructor. One of the two new believers showed some hesitancy, he said he’d, “Sacrificed himself to Jesus Christ.” Sou explained that sacrifice was not what God wanted, and walked him through the basics of salvation. He became agitated and his …

Christ in Action

“Value added products”, that’s what you could call our kids after a team visits. Three teams of committed Christians, and my old college roommate with his daughter and granddaughter, came to assist a half dozen of our church/homes in January. These abandoned, orphaned, and discarded children found someone that cares enough to come half-way around the world to make their world a little better. Great teams from East Valley Church, The Korean Foursquare Church, and Living Water Church imparted a great deal to these children in Cambodia through building fences, painting buildings, but really at the heart of it all, …

Rice Farm Developments

With much of the developed world turning to a philosophical form of Christianity, rather than a relational form, the developing churches in the poorer countries are left to fend for the growth of the church at their own expense. I realize that is a trend which Jesus predicted, and that’s why I am so grateful for the help of the few committed supporters. You who are helping with the development of our rice farm may not realize it, but you are in the midst of a spiritual act. In order to get to the place where FCOP can grow consistent …

Manna Pack

Reach Now International, along with Lou Binninger, have shown to be true friends. We continue to receive nutrition rice meals to support the separated children and staff. Manna Packs, produced by Feed My Starving Children is a Godsend. We need about 2 tons per day to keep everyone alive and they make it happen.

Big Birds Laid Bag Eggs

It’s hard to believe but for the last 10 years, since the home was built, our kids at the Krolai Church Home have been playing near three, 250 pound bombs, dropped more than 40 years ago on what was then known as the “Ho Chi Minh Trail”. “Those suckers make a lot of noise!” And, to think our US “birds” laid those eggs! I honestly felt a little guilty, but thanked God no one was hurt. Christmas got started with a “Bang” in Rattanakirri Province, maybe “Kaboom” would be more descriptive.  Some of the boys at the home were …
