Special Need

We are currently in need of additional funds to purchase rice for our 103 Church Homes throughout the nation. If you would be willing to set up a recurring gift to help purchase rice for orphans, children at risk, and widows, we would greatly appreciate your support.

Bringing The Word

Imagine not having access to the Bible in your native language. Thankfully, FCOP pastors are a part of bringing the Bible to thousands of people that have never seen the Bible in their own dialect. We could not be more proud of some of our FCOP pastors working in partnership with Wycliffe Bible translators to translate the Bible into the various tribal dialects throughout northern Cambodia. We believe in greater spiritual breakthroughs with the written Word in their own dialect, as we know the Bible is alive and active.

Cambodian Leadership in America

Our trip to America was to attend Foursquare’s Centennial Connection in Anaheim, CA. Mak Sou (Pastor Sou), Pow Naret, Pastor Som Art, Kong Rolina, Run Thany, Net Khemara, Heang Makara learned many things during our time.  We learned that the US Foursquare Church really respects their time schedule, are well organized, have good infrastructure, their technology is amazing, and we are speechless. We’ve experienced weather that is cold compared to what we are used to.  We’ve been reconnected with our church friends and welcome them back to Cambodia to partner with us.  All the speakers during the conference have been …

Khmer New Year Celebration

During the middle of April, the capital city of Phnom Penh begins to look like a ghost town as most of the city’s residents return to their province in which their family resides to celebrate the 3 day Cambodian (Khmer) New Year holiday. This is one of the most important holidays of the Cambodian calendar. It’s a time of honoring family, one’s heritage, and culture.  The water blessing is a special ceremony that represents a washing away of the bad events, memories, and evil speech over one’s life during the past year. Families will go together to honor the older …

Much Needed: Face-Lift

After the conference, over 800-5-gallon pails of paint were delivered to the provinces. One small, “Tuk-Tuk’, took 15-5-gallon pails, those who came in their own vehicles took more, and trucks were rented to haul hundreds of pails to remote provinces. FCOP churches are getting a much-needed face lifts and pastors are working together to help with the renovations. Take a look:

It’s Been a Long Time

“The Anointing Will Break the Yoke” was our conference theme. It has been eight years since we have called all FCOP pastors for a conference. In the past, we’d opted for regional meetings since we didn’t have a big enough venue or budget for thousands of pastors and leaders. In addition, it has been impossible to obtain a government permit for such a large meeting. This year was different in that the government wanted to see our pastors and determine if we are “real” and have a presence in all the provinces. We passed the test and the government officials who came to speak …

The Results Are Worth It

Within 24 hours of the pastors return home, results started coming in confirming the inspirational effect of the conference. We are alive! Paul instructed the church to: “…recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings…” (Hebrews 10:32). We need God’s mercy to survive, and we don’t always get what we want, but we need to know Him and do the Father’s will. I am in awe of the salvations, baptisms, deliverances, and healings that took place. There is no question that we are under the persecution of the double-edged sword of inflation and …

He’s Walking

A few days before Christmas, a young orphan boy from far NE Cambodia was clearing brush with a gasoline powered brush cutter when it kicked back and severed his foot: cutting through the tendon, the bone, and the main artery. The foot was dangling by some skin and tissue. He was stabilized in a hospital in Ratanakiri and then transported to Phnom Penh where after a long surgery the foot was reattached. After several other surgeries the foot was stabilized for two months in a rigid rod structure, and on February 24th the apparatus holding his foot at an angle was …

The World Is Different

When I first arrived in Cambodia twenty-five years ago, it was one of the least developed and most impoverished nations on earth. People were hungry for hope and God moved mightily in signs, wonders, and miracles. Now, Chinese factories have sprouted up and the ecology of Cambodia has been permanently altered by hundreds of hydro-electric dams to the north of Cambodia. Cambodia has become a free trade zone with China with incentives offered for further development. The policies of the government are not pro-Church. Cambodia is a moving target, and the church must remain flexible and be led by the Holy Spirit. I am guilty of …

We Say “Good-bye” To Dear Friends

Bob and Christal Hollandsworth started coming to help us in Cambodia in the year 2000. They are two of the most selfless servants of God Sou and I have ever seen. They have been mixing paint and loading buckets right up to their departure on March 1st. They are retiring to their home in Northeastern Washington State in the USA, a ‘stone’s throw’ from the Canadian border. They will be going from 100-degree heat to a still snowy winter. All FCOP in Cambodia will miss you greatly. May God bless you richly! Thank you for 23 years of faithful service! Please return …

Month of Miracle

“For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). I have discovered something about discouragement… it can be lethal without the power of God. In December, we were hit with a mandate to supply all new school uniforms (a $54,000US expense) or face being closed down. I couldn’t imagine the 2,500 young lives that depend upon FCOP being cast to the mercy of governmental agencies and the end of the FCOP ministry. In 24 years, we have never been able to supply all new uniforms all at one time. I kept up a brave front externally but internally, I was in anguish like Hannah (1 Samuel 1:10). …
