Refreshing by the Holy Spirit

On July 2nd, 2023, a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit took place during the church service, resembling the Day of Pentecost. Despite Pastor Som Art being called away to campaign, Pastor Sou preached a message after seeking guidance from God. The sermon focused on the pouring out of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 and highlighted the importance of repentance, baptism, and salvation. The unity of believers in Acts 4 was emphasized, and the believers prayed for boldness in sharing the word of God. The manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s presence and power was reminiscent of Acts 10:38. In …

FCOP Rice Farm in Balang

A team of three men was sent to assist the Rice Farm team in refurbishing 4 combines for the upcoming rice harvest. They have made progress in refurbishing 2 of the combines, while the remaining are yet to be finished. Prayers are requested for a successful harvest to provide food for orphans, widows, and the poor.

URGENT NEED FOR RICE

We have an urgent need for three months’ worth of rice as we are depleting our contingency reserve and are currently awaiting a shipment of Manna Pak rice from Convoy of Hope to arrive in mid-August. Thanks to the work of Lou Binninger and Nikki Baessler. Please pray to stop hunger and for our needs to be met. • Currently feed approximately 2,500 people per month • They consume about 300-500g of rice per day (approx. 1 lb) • A minimum of 25 metric tons is needed per month • Cost: $530 USD per metric ton Consider giving a gift …

The Unexpected

Last Month on May 11, 2023, Pastor Sou and the staff went to remeasure the land of our new church at Phnom Kulen in the Siem Reap Province. After they completed their business at Kulen Mountain, they return to the capital city of Siem Reap. Church members and their youth leaders unexpectedly came to Ps. Sou for prayer, healing, and deliverance. God met their needs and blessed them with answered prayers. The elder ladies cooked some traditional food to surprise Ps. Sou (Mak Thom) and the team.  The Lord continues to work for us every hour of every day. FCOP will keep …

From Heart – Sou Olbrich

Dear family and ministry partners in the Lord,  Your love and support has meant so much to me! Words of condolences, love expressed in so many ways, as well as your support for me and my children during this difficult time is a blessing beyond measure. Thank you for celebrating Pastor Ted’s life and honoring his memory as we continue the mission!  We are still going forward continuing with ministry, evangelism, reorganize our churches, and orphans care. As president of Cambodia Foursquare Fellowship and the N.G.O For Children of Promise (F.C.O.P), I want to personally thank you for your love …

A Cambodian Easter

FCOP exists to help transform a nation one life at a time through bringing the love of Christ into every village and province of Cambodia. This Easter season, our FCOP pastors and churches did just that. In every province throughout the nation, believers gathered together to celebrate the death and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. Whether it was meeting in church buildings, outside under a mango tree, or in someone’s home, there was a celebration and remembrance that Jesus paid the ultimate price so that we can have freedom and eternal life.  At our National Training Center in Phnom …

Khmer New Year Celebration

During the middle of April, the capital city of Phnom Penh begins to look like a ghost town as most of the city’s residents return to their province in which their family resides to celebrate the 3 day Cambodian (Khmer) New Year holiday. This is one of the most important holidays of the Cambodian calendar. It’s a time of honoring family, one’s heritage, and culture.  The water blessing is a special ceremony that represents a washing away of the bad events, memories, and evil speech over one’s life during the past year. Families will go together to honor the older …

Church Highlight: Being the Hands of Jesus

What difference can a good hair washing make? It can be a tangible representation of God’s love and care to some of the poorest of the poor. We saw a practical demonstration of this at the Steung Siem Reap Church in Siem Reap province. Pastor Chhaiiya and his church members saw a need within their community and he went outside of the four walls of the church to serve the young people in the village around them. This is the type of selfless service that Jesus talked about when he said that we are to think of others more than …

Called to Apostleship

For over 30 years, my dad, Ted Olbrich, has let everyone know what is happening in the ministry in Cambodia as a pastor and missionary through sending out a monthly newsletter. It was his way to help keep connected with all of you and let you know the amazing things God was doing. After his funeral, our family was going through some of the personal things my dad had and we came across his journals and Bibles. Here’s a picture of 4 of his worn out, highlighted on every page Bibles from the 1980’s till now.  Are any of you …

Much Needed: Face-Lift

After the conference, over 800-5-gallon pails of paint were delivered to the provinces. One small, “Tuk-Tuk’, took 15-5-gallon pails, those who came in their own vehicles took more, and trucks were rented to haul hundreds of pails to remote provinces. FCOP churches are getting a much-needed face lifts and pastors are working together to help with the renovations. Take a look:

It’s Been a Long Time

“The Anointing Will Break the Yoke” was our conference theme. It has been eight years since we have called all FCOP pastors for a conference. In the past, we’d opted for regional meetings since we didn’t have a big enough venue or budget for thousands of pastors and leaders. In addition, it has been impossible to obtain a government permit for such a large meeting. This year was different in that the government wanted to see our pastors and determine if we are “real” and have a presence in all the provinces. We passed the test and the government officials who came to speak …
