FCOP International UPDATES

We Will Show You Our Faith By What We Do

“We will show you our faith by what we do!” That is the slogan phrase of FCOP Int. So, what do we do? Or, more importantly, why do we do it? The motive has always been to build the Kingdom of God. And, God gave us a very focused strategy on how to do that. The devil doesn’t roll over and die just because some Christians pray. There is a spiritual struggle involved, and it is not easy. FCOP has the most extensive network of workers and locations able to provide care for children in trouble, in Cambodia. There are …

Dental and Medical Team

Dr. Mike Callan and Dr. Derrick Dauplaise, led a combination medical/dental team to Kampong Speu Province. They treated the children, staff and some members of 10 Church Homes in the region. Then, Dr. Derrick took off with our staff pediatrician, Dr. Lina, for a whirlwind trip that took them to provide care for another 14 Church Homes. Dr Mike has made 18 visits to Cambodia over the past 11 years. If you have a chance, click here and read his insights. It’s very revealing!

$2,720,000 Worth of Nutrition Rice

It didn’t show up on the balance sheet, but FCOP has brought in 651 tons of nutrition rice meals in 2015. The valuation on these meals which are donated to us is $2,720,000USD. These were all donated by our partners in the USA, including Feed My Starving Children, Stop Hunger Now, Reach Now International, Gleanings for the Hungry, Dave Wilkinson, and with shipping arranged by Lou Binninger. With the food shortages this year this has literally been a “Life Saver.”

Welcome to the Wimberly’s

FCOP gives a big welcome to Pastors Tim & Dhana Wimberly from Church of Living Water in Olympia, Wa. They arrived just under a month ago and come with an assortment of gifts to serve FCOP and see Cambodia come to Christ. They’re experience includes marriage/family life, leadership development, teaching and years of missions involvement, including serving with church teams, teaching, etc. in Cambodia for the last six years. We’re Glad you’re here

Young Lions in Siem Reap

The “Young Lions” took on Siem Reap Province with a team to train area youth how to love in the power of the Holy Spirit. They taught and demonstrated the power of God over demon spirits and saw people healed in the name of Jesus. There were eighty young people who responded and were filled with the Holy Spirit. The last day that  the Lions were there, the pastor’s daughter asked the Young Lions pray over her shop, because there was a spirit tormenting her staff and customers.  When the Young Lions confronted the evil spirit, it asked the lions, “Why are …

Rice crop: Less than hoped for

Rice is a sensitive crop. Stress at any time during its growing cycle can affect the yield. We lost the first crop to drought and the second planting suffered from drought stress during the first month of its growing cycle. FCOP pastors prayed against the curse on the 700 acres, and rain came. The crop, though decent, was less than could have been grown under controlled conditions. We are harvesting, and the rice quality is good, but the yield is not what we had hoped. There will be a decent crop but not enough to lift the load of the …

Dr. Mike Callan

I give you my background, not to attempt to impress you but rather, to impress upon you that I might possess a bit of discernment. I am an orthodontist from Clinton, Iowa. I teach orthodontics part time at the U. of Iowa College of Dentistry. I have served as the President for the Iowa Society of Orthodontists. I have been awarded the U.S. President’s Bronze Volunteer Service Award twice by presidents Bush & Obama administrations. Devilish Lie

It’s a devilish lie! I’m talking about a very well done, but totally deceptive video. Click Here to watch it first, then continue to read. Do you really believe that your donations to orphans create them? Orphans are created by their parents dying! Unfortunately, the concept of a country with high corruption and no functional child welfare system, seems unbelievable to some people in the developed world. Where do orphaned, abandoned, deformed, and abused kids go in a place like Cambodia?(Click on Dany’s Story on the right to read a real life example)  Can you just pass out money to …

Cosmic Battle

Last Sunday the featured Cambodian ballet, at the Central Church, was depicting the war between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of Light. It turned out to be very appropriate. This may shock some of you, but not everything that happens on this planet is God’s will. Satan does bad stuff all the time. Our assignment is to take back occupied territory. We are in a war! From the time God told us to “fill the earth and subdue it…”  (Genesis 1:28), there must have been a problem, because why do you have to “subdue” something that is created “…very …

Majoring on the Major

Sometimes we “Pentecostals” can “major on the minors”. The chewing out we get from the Lord in Matt 7:21-23 is because we didn’t focus on the will of our Father in Heaven, which is clearly stated in John 6:40. We need to get people born again. It really does not do a lot of good to get someone healed or delivered if they don’t get to know the Lord!  Now, the kicker is, that in a place like Cambodia, preaching a gospel without the demonstration of the power of God is pretty anemic! We just need to keep our priorities straight. …

Sweet Spot

God has been good to us, it seems we’ve hit a “sweet spot” in the rice production cycle. It appears that the rainy season is ending, which didn’t start until September 12th. The Cambodian Water Festival, one of the biggest holidays in the year has been cancelled due to drought. The first crop was lost entirely to drought and we lost 75 acres of our second planting before we got enough rain to save the rest. Then a rouge cyclone in SE Thailand dumped six inches of rain on our rice and we have received a good six weeks of …

Famine Fighters

With food shortages now being publicly acknowledged in Cambodia we are so grateful for the help we received form all of our partners. In addition to the usual monthly supply of Manna pack we received a 40 foot container of dried fruit from Gleanings for the Hungry.
